PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Acushnet Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall Meeting Room, located at 122 Main Street, Acushnet, Massachusetts.

Public Hearing RDA – James M. Souza, Gammons Road, Map 9 Lots 16 & 19.
A Request for Determination of Applicability was filed by James M. Souza, for property located at Gammons Road, Map 9, Lot 16 & 19. The Applicant proposes to clean up an abandoned farm. The work will consist of removing buildings, structures, vehicles, junk and trash. All materials will be loaded into dumpsters for off-site disposal and the vehicles will be hauled away using a flatbed truck. Upon completion of the cleanup all disturbed areas will be seeded with a native grass mix and the area will be allowed to revegetate. Long term maintenance of the upland area will consist of mowing 4 times a year. The subject area falls within the 100 ft. Buffer Zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland and partially within the 200 ft. Riverfront Area of Tinkham Brook. The applicant will be representing himself.
