Well, at least I got the Special Town Meeting story in here (see page 3), but I never made it to the Select Board meeting, and I didn’t have time to watch it either.
My mother has been in declining health for a long time. On Monday, she took her last breath. Since we are going to press a day early because of the holiday, I didn’t even have time to get a proper obituary written. There is a death notice on page 17. I’ll run the full obit next week.
My mother was one of the original super-moms. And because she was such a pioneer, I don’t think she ever got recognized as such: Five kids, running the house, the kids, and running a very successful business with dad. And, all the while, welcoming a slew of nieces and nephews, relatives from Lebanon, and anyone looking for a job.
Dad’s attitude was, “Everyone has a right to work,” and he found some doozies, I’ll tell you. Mom, of course, had to deal with them, too.
She was very much loved by many people, and she will be remembered by many.
Rest in peace, Mom. Nice touch leaving this earth on my deadline day. But, hey…this isn’t about me, right?
Back to the SB meeting. I understand they voted to have an external investigation into the travesty-fiasco-mess that is the Timothy-Hiller subdivision, AKA, a blighted neighborhood in the making from the start. Shame on you, Robbie Roderigues. Really.
This will come up again. So we will have a chance to write about it again…and probably again…and…
I just couldn’t do it all this week. Priorities, y’know?
Anyway, there’s a ton of happenings in here this week to help you get ready for the holidays. The NFIA can use some help decorating Benoit Square (see page 5); and there’s a toy drive outside with crazy motorcycle riders BRRR…. (page 21).
Oh, and the FHS football team is going back to Gillette. Howhttps://fairhavenneighborhoodnews.com/bike-run-toy-drive-4/ cool is that! See page 23 for how to go or watch from home.
And of course it’s our annual Shopping Issue, making it super easy to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week, then, see ya,

Glory to Ukraine!
