Charlie Kirk: A man who loved Jesus and our country

Physically, Charlie Kirk is no longer with us, but, however, his legacy and his life’s work will carry on. He didn’t flinch in the face of danger. He faced it head on. He died a martyr’s death. I have no doubt that his wife Erika and his followers will carry on his life’s work just the same as the true followers of Jesus who commanded his disciples to go and preach the gospel throughout the world did.

Just recently, we celebrated Veterans Day, a day set aside to honor the men and women who courageously stepped forward to defend our country. Many have died or been severely wounded in the defense of our country. In the like manner in the words of President John Kennedy the torch has been passed on to us to carry on this work.

In the preamble to our Constitution the rights of the individual are defined as the right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are God given rights and they shall not be infringed upon. I believe in the first two paragraphs of the Constitution. The stated purpose of our Constitution was to ensure these rights would be protected.

At no point in history have so many enjoyed the freedoms and many opportunities we have. We have them because of the men and women who fought and died to protect them.
