I don’t have time for anything this week, folks. Sorry.
You wouldn’t even believe how late it is getting this to the printer.
So, no profundities on the Big Buffoon this week.
I will say, however, that the Democrats are extraordinarily expert at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Numbnuts. They were winning this shut down thing.
Honestly, most of them really need to go home and go to sleep. Let the young’uns take over, okay?
We have two parades for you this year. See the center spread, pages 12 and 13 for that. Acushnet’s of course, got rained on. But that didn’t stop them.
Fairhaven had alternating clouds and sun, but WOW was it cold! The wind didn’t help much, either, but it did make that big flag flutter in the wind. So cool to see.
Acushnet faces the big vote on the Old Colony building project. See page 3 for that. The vote is Tuesday, so it’s your last chance to look up stuff.
And we have a celebrity piece in this week. I don’t usually do those kinds of profiles and things. Honestly, you think you’ve got a good subject and he or she turns out to be a shmuck and you’re left looking like a jerk. So, yeah, I don’t usually do these kinds of profiles.
But, this subject is totally different from anyone I’ve ever written about. And, well, I didn’t write it. So, see page 7 and if you know he’s a jerk, well, can you just keep it to yourself?
Thanks.
There’s other stuff in here, of course. See the happenings pages for some of the holiday fairs coming up including my parish’s Lebanese bazaar with all that great Lebanese food. See pages 5, 20, 21.
