Charles Brigham, Architect for Fairhaven and the World, Mon., 5/8, 6 p.m., Millicent Library, 45 Center St., Fairhaven (Walnut St. entrance)
Everyone knows about Henry Huttleston Rogers, who paid for Fairhaven’s distinguished public buildings, but we know less about Charles Brigham, the architect who designed them. David J. Russo, the leading expert on Brigham, will tell us more about the man behind the town’s treasures. Sponsored by the Friends of the Millicent Library. It is free and open to the public. At 4:30, Chris Richard, Tourism Director, will lead a walking tour of the Brigham buildings in the Town Center, and the Unitarian Memorial Church will be open for tours. The business meeting of the Friends will precede Mr. Russo’s talk, at 5:30.
