Kevin Grant Supports Lucas
I am writing to endorse applicant Jeff Lucas to serve as the interim Planning Board member.
Jeff is well-trusted, well-respected and well liked. He has years upon years of experience in planning, which has been sorely lacking on the Board. The public would — and should — view Jeff as a return to normalcy and proper policy and procedure at a time when we very desperately need it.
Although I myself nominated Diane [Tomassetti] to the Chair and was quite happy that she accepted and was then appointed as such, her push back against requests for town counsel to be present at our first attempt of a Timothy/Hiller Q&A, coupled with denials that such requests were ever made, have resulted in a serious loss of trust and credibility with the public at a time when we must do everything we can to rebuild such trust. A return to the Planning Board after submitting a resignation just weeks ago will further erode the confidence of the voters.
I therefore cannot support her as a candidate.
I am writing on my own behalf and am in no way writing as a spokesperson of the Planning Board.
