Fairhaven held its first Oktoberfest on Saturday, 10/18/25, in front of town hall, featuring food vendors, a beer garden, and live music.
Food choices ranged from ethnic specialties to local favorites.
Judy Theodore and Paula Faye got the lobster roll with chowder from Mac’s Soda Bar, and they tried the Pumpkin Ale, too.
“It’s so delicious,” said Ms. Theodore.
“So good,” agreed her friend.
At least a couple of hundred people were in the street or eating at tables, but it was not crowded.
Ms. Theodore said the smaller crowd made it more personal.
“It’s got a neighborhood kind of feeling,” said Ms. Faye.
Organizer, Cathy Melanson, of the Fairhaven Economic Development Committee, said they got a little bit of a late start promoting the event, but she was happy with the crowd.
“It’s been pretty steady,” she said.
All the vendors showed up, she said, and one even sold out.
