Please join us to celebrate the Marsh Island Salt Marsh Restoration on Tues., 10/28, 3–4 p.m. Taber Street, Fairhaven. Restoration efforts began nearly three years ago and have brought six acres of salt marsh on this peninsula back to life.
Parking is available at the end of Taber Street. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk over uneven terrain to reach the event site, so please wear comfortable footwear. The event will feature a short speaking program and light refreshments. Restoration efforts began nearly three years ago and have brought six acres of salt marsh on this peninsula back to life.
This project is supported in part by the New Bedford Harbor Trustee Council, the MA Division of Ecological Restoration, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the Fairhaven-Acushnet Land Preservation Trust, and others.
