TOWN OF ACUSHNET
REAL ESTATE CLASSIFICATION HEARING
In accordance with Chapter 369 of the Acts of 1982, the Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on the issue of allocating the local property tax among the following: residential, open space, commercial, industrial, personal property.
The hearing will be held at the Acushnet Town Hall Meeting Room at 5:00 PM, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, for the purpose of determining whether or not Acushnet shall remain with a classified tax rate as in past years.
All interested taxpayers are invited to attend and provide input to the Board of Selectmen, who must decide if Acushnet will have one or more tax rates. The Board of Assessors will be in attendance to provide information and data relevant to making that determination.
