Letter Trump and Rep. have no values

August 27, 2025 by Staff Writer

Trump and Republicans have no values to defend

The Fairhaven Republican Committee recently met. They started with a Biblical prayer that spit on man’s independent, focused mind and that demanded mindless obedience to a mystical ideal in an unfocused mind. They pledged allegiance to the nation. There was no pledge of allegiance to man’s mind, individual rights or the Constitution. We should be grateful that there was no pledge of allegiance to Trump.

Then they discussed the minutes of the last meeting. I was there to hear about policy and I had something important to do. I left. Possibly, they eventually discussed the values, if any, of Republicans. Possibly, they eventually discussed applying America’s individual rights Constitution to current problems. Those are tiny possibilities. Trump has never uttered the words, individual rights. He’s a nationalist, not an individualist.

Republicans want the right to bear arms. It’s the only right they respect. Why? They reject the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They reject the right to property, production, trade and the pursuit of profit. Republicans want the right to shoot their enemies and enforce sacrifice to their mystical ideal, the nation, in an unfocused mind.

Republicans are nationalist collectivists. Democrats are socialist collectivists. Hitler was a national socialist. But Hitler wrote books. Trump watches TV. VP Vance likes feudalism and St. Augustine, the philosopher who created the Christian Dark Ages, the historical era with the lowest mortality, 20 years.

“I am freeing men from…the demands of a freedom and personal independence which only a very few can bear (Hitler).”

Trump respects powerlusting nationalists and mass-murdering dictators, Putin, Kim, and Xi. Trump despises Zelensky because he’s defending individual rights, not nationalism. Trump wants peace at any price, peace in our time, like Chamberlain in 1938 Munich, 1960s Leftists and today’s Hamas-supporting Leftists.

“Give me liberty or give me death” was the politics of America’s founding. Trump and Republicans have no values to defend. They don’t need liberty to defend their nihilist hatred of everything.
