ONE Theater Group, Inc. is proud to announce its upcoming production of Treasure Island on Thurs. & Fri., 4/20 & 21 at 7 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 4/22 & 23 at 2 p.m. at the auditorium in Fairhaven Town Hall, 40 Center St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
Unique in its mission to combine the arts with philanthropy, ONE Theater Group, Inc. selects a different local beneficiary for every production. To date, their performances have contributed more than $25,000 back into the community, assisting five different local organizations.
Proceeds from Treasure Island will go to Homes For Our Troops (HFOT). Headquartered in Taunton. HFOT provides specially adapted, mortgage-free homes to severely injured, post 911 veterans. Funds will thus remain local, and support the building and/or construction support of a home for a local veteran in need.
Treasure Island is a family-friendly show, and a classic tale of adventure, that all ages can enjoy. It tells the tale of Jim Hawkins, his run-in with a former pirate and subsequent discovery of a treasure map. In no time, he’ll find himself on the high seas aboard a crew of pirates in disguise, who are also after the same treasure. Treasure Island is entertaining, exciting, funny, and packed with local talent.
Tickets purchased online in advance are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. At the door, the adult ticket price will increase to $20; the child price will remain the same. Seating is general admission. Purchase tickets online at www. onetheatergroup.com or anytime during normal business hours at the Millicent Library in Fairhaven. Doors open 30 min. before each show.
