Toby Dills is retiring. For decades the master storyteller has wowed children and their adults with a mix of sciene and fun.
At the Millicent Library in Fairhaven, his annual tie dye show taught thousands how to make cool designs for t-shirts. His annual bottle rocket workshop taught how to make a two-liter bottle fly high in the air using water and compressed air from a bicycle pump, with nose cones and fins and other cool stuff.
This year, Dr. Dills, a retired professor at UMassD, is now retiring from his volunteer gigs, too.
He gave his final workshops a the Millicent this month.
Good luck, Dr. Dills. And thank yo for being so generous with your knowledge and making science fun.s
