Trees in Fairhaven
The trees in Fairhaven are a precious resource. It is our responsibility to care for them.
I am writing to address the tree cutting and lack of re-planting in our beautiful town. I walk around town and I see the stumps and I wonder whether nearby homeowners were notified. It seems they were not.
Some questions:
Will the dangerous stumps be removed?
Where is the trained, qualified tree warden, required by state law, who is attending to these issues?
Is there a plan for planting more trees? Is the plan public information?
The trees of Fairhaven provide shade, beauty and oxygen for our warming planet.
I am asking for a public discussion of this important issue.
