Auditions for “The Humans” by Stephen Karem, and directed by Suzanne J. Houbre, will be held at the Steeple Playhouse at 159 William Street, New Bedford on Friday, August 1st, 2025 at 6:30p.m. and Sunday, August 3rd, 2025 at 6:30p.m. Performances are November 7, 2025 through November 16, 2025.
Breaking with tradition Erik Blake has brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls outside the ramshackle pre-war duplex, eerie things start to go bump in the night and the heart horrors of the Blake clan are exposed.
Casting all roles, auditions consist of cold readings from the script. Enter the Playhouse from the door on the 6th Street side of the building. Auditions are open to all actors of age 18 or older.
Experience is not necessary; just the desire to participate and share the experience of live theater and the enjoyment of collaborating with other talented individuals.
