A New Hidden Gem for the Mind, Body & Soul

July 30, 2025 by Staff Writer

Thee Hollistic Maven is a new business located in the Ropewalk in Mattaspoisett, Mass.

Press Release

Tucked away like a well-kept secret inside the charming Ropewalk Building, a new sanctuary for the senses has quietly opened its doors. Thee Holistic Maven, a small but inviting, soul-centered shop, officially opened in December 2024 right in the heart of Mattapoisett. This space blends the mystical with the practical — offering a unique blend of witchy wonders, natural products and holistic healing services that help to quiet the mind, nourish the body and awaken the soul.

More than just a shop, Thee Holistic Maven is a modern apothecary and spiritual sanctuary —  created for the crystal lovers, the curious souls, the wellness warriors, the self-care enthusiasts, the seasoned seekers, and everyone in between that loves their wellness with a side of witchyness.

Owned and curated by local Diana Joseph, a seasoned practitioner with over 15 years of experience traveling to psychic fairs, pop-ups, and metaphysical markets, the shop reflects her eclectic and deeply personal blend of spirituality and self-care.

“Thee Holistic Maven reflects my eclectic style of intertwining witchyness with holistic wellness,” says Joseph. “I carry a variety of my own handcrafted products, as well as trusted items from other small businesses that I use myself. My shop is a place to build a connection with my community, to help others feel supported, seen, and understood. A safe space to learn, grow and collaborate.”

From the moment you walk in, the shop wraps you in warmth. You’re greeted with the rich scent of herbs, incense, coffee, soaps and essential oils. Everything in this space is chosen with intention. The shelves are filled with metaphysical treasures: hand-selected tarot decks, shimmering crystals, spellbinding candles, handcrafted jewelry, thoughtfully curated books (both new and used), and ethically-sourced home, bath and body products. There’s even bags of organic coffee and herbal tea waiting to greet you like an old friend.

But the true magic of Thee Holistic Maven lies in its healing services. Visitors can book soul-nourishing experiences such as tarot readings, tea leaf interpretations, palmistry, reiki energy healing, self-discovery meditations, sound healing, crystal healing, holistic consultations & more. Whether you’re seeking clarity, comfort, guidance or have a spark of curiosity, there’s always something mystical happening within.

With its warm vibes, hanging tapestries, cozy nooks, and positive energy, the shop feels like a magical spellbook brought to life. “This is a space to slow down, rediscover what lights you up, and remember that self-care isn’t selfish—it’s sacred,” says Joseph.

In a world that rarely pauses, it’s ok to slow down. Go in and let the magic find you. Remember you’re never too old, too young, or too “new” to live the life you want to live. Here’s to rediscovering yourself, reclaiming your inner power, cultivating your authenticity, tuning into your intuition, and creating your own kind of magic.

Located inside the Ropewalk, 33 County Road (Re. 6), Mattapoisett. Visit www.theeholisticmaven.com or find them on Facebook.
