Fairhaven’s “Dog Days of Summer” event brought a wave of families — and their well-behaved fur babies — to Huttleston HarborFest for a fun, pet-friendly day by the sea on 7/19/25 at Grimshaw Park at Fort Phoenix.
Discover Fairhaven sponsored a free caricature artist who drew steady lines of pups and people eager to be cartoonized, while creativity bloomed at Grimshaw’s Creative Corner, where Anne Silvia led dog-themed rock painting for grandparents and grandkids. The Bristol County Sheriff’s Office drew a big crowd for their K-9 demos, and Eric Letendre Dog Trainer delivered three crowd-pleasing shows full of tips, tricks, and tail wags.
The festival featured a variety of interactive booths, unique pet vendors, and refreshing food and drink options — all set to the backdrop of an ocean breeze that was a welcome treat on a sunny summer day. From the splashy water balloon battle to wellness education, families came out to shop, learn, and play, making Dog Days of Summer a joyful celebration of Fairhaven’s creative and connected community.
