Summer Concerts
Concerts are held rain or shine. In the event of rain, join us under the pavilion or in the community room. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Acushnet Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
July 23 Pumpkin Head Ted feeds on a steady diet of blues, jazz, country, swing, Afro-Latin, rock and roll, show tunes, punk, alternative, and any other eclectic sounds that may catch their ear. Acushnet’s concert lineup features Jason Smith on guitar, drums, washboard, and vocals. John Nieman on Drums, guitar, and vocals. Eric Costa on keyboards and vocals. Matt Ryckebusch on bass and vocals.Tom Short on Saxophones, flute, clarinet, and vocals.
July 30 The Whelks are a Rhode Island-based acoustic trio consisting of Peri DeLorenzo on fiddle, Mark Dobbyn on guitar, and Erin Lobb Mason on upright bass. They play a mix of swing, country, old time, bluegrass, Irish, folk, and original songs, all dressed up in glorious three-part harmony.
Raffle Fundraiser
Friends of the Acushnet Public Library will be holding a 50/50 raffle at each of the Acushnet library’s Wednesday evening outdoor Summer Concert Series.
Fairhaven
Concerts Under the Stars, Presented by the Fairhaven Improvement Association, Fairhaven Town Hall, 40 Center St. Weather permitting Join us Thursday nights at 7 PM for live music under the summer sky. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy these free community concerts.

FREE summer concerts, sponsored by the Whaling History Alliance, at Custom House Square, Downtown New Bedford, (corner Acushnet Ave. and William St.), from 6–8 p.m. on the following Thursdays: July 17, Your Favorite Color Band; July 24, That 80s Band; Aug. 7, Hardwire; Aug. 14, Lively Up!

Summer Sound Series
Visitors and residents are invited to New Bedford’s annual Summer Sound Series, now organized by AHA! New Bedford, delivering to downtown a lineup of musicians who will have you dancing in the streets!
The free Summer Sounds Series concerts take place on select Fridays throughout the summer, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, alternating between stages on closed portions of lower Union Street and Purchase Street.
