Competition is friendly and any variety of talent is accepted. If you know a senior that loves to sing, dance, play the piano or the spoons, perform comedy, juggle, train dogs, perform magic, act, or any other talent and they want to showcase, they are encouraged to participate.
They can apply by contacting Melissa Da-Silva-Kurcharski at 508-330-4837 or visit the New Bedford, Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, or Mattapoisett’s Council on Aging. The Fairhaven, Acushnet, New Bedford, or Dartmouth Senior Centers.
Last year a 96-year-old spoon player “wowed” the crowds. In response to if she would be returning as a guest this year she said “I can’t walk that well, but I can sit while I play, so yes, I think I’ll be there.”
Applications for the contest are due April 17th and the show is the 30th at Fairhaven Town Hall, 2-4pm.
The Fairhaven Rotary has been an active part of the Fairhaven community since 1976. They support community service, solve problems, and put service above self.
