TOWN OF ACUSHNET
The Acushnet Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 122 Main Street Acushnet. This hearing is on the petition MA2024-50 from Verizon New England, Inc. and Nstar Electric Company dba Eversource Energy, proposing to place new facilities – Pole 104/39.5 on Middle Rd.
Middle Rd: Install one (1) JO mid-span pole, 104/P39.5, on the east side of Middle Rd., which will be approximately 262’ northerly from the centerline of Hamlin St. The new pole will be installed in-line with and approximately 30’ south of existing pole 104/P40; and approximately 90’ north of existing pole 104/P39.
The installation is being requested by Eversource to support ongoing construction on both sides of Middle Road; and to provide for the distribution of intelligence and telecommunications and the transmission of high and low voltage electric current.
