If it wasn’t so pathetic, it would be laughable. Trying to figure out if I’m talking about national politics or local? Take your pick. They’re both bonkers.
Patrick Carr, Patrick Carr, Patrick Cahh: apparently he counts how many times his name is mentioned in the Neighb News, so, I couldn’t resist. Not sure how he does that since he says he doesn’t read it. Ah well.
However, it’s not totally superfluous. See page 3 for a truly bizarre almost-meeting of the ZBA to discipline a sitting member. And he wonders why people use the word “bully” to describe him. Self awareness much?
Well, I need to fess up about something. In the article on page 3 I mention the 12/18/24 meeting. I thought it had been done in executive session, so I didn’t watch it. I double checked just before I finished up tonight and realized it was in open meeting, but it’s more than an hour long. Sorry, My Dear Readers, I just don’t have time to watch it now. But I will. I’ll let you know how popcorn worthy it is.
Although, we really should not make too light of it. Ms. Goyer is a public servant, a volunteer who does not get paid and puts in a lot of time. I suspect she does not deserve this treatment, and she’s getting it because she disagreed with the big man and voted against his wishes. So…she’s gotta go, right? These guys are real democracy lovers, huh?
Dare we move on to the national shit-show?
How on God’s Green Earth can you guys still support this buffoon? Canada and Mexico did not back down, the Big Buffoon did. They agreed to do what they had already agreed to do during Biden’s administration. And, the US made new promises to Mexico. But, yeah, it’s a big victory.
Meanwhile USAID, which is our goodwill around the world, has been shut down, leaving food and medicines rotting in the sun. Why should we feed the world’s hungry, support fledgling countries, fight disease and famine around the world? Because we’re the richest f’g country in the world, that’s why. On a more selfish note, it promotes stability, and that’s good for the whole world, not just your stupid egg prices.
BTW: How about them egg prices, huh?
Oh, and those of you screaming about how there were no wars when your cult leader was in last time? He wants to send ground troops to Gaza. Gaza! He’s getting us into another Middle East quagmire. But, hey, he’s a stable genius. It’ll be fine. And we’re going to beat up Panama and Denmark, cuz we be tough!
And, the FBI. The most respected police force in the world, is being decimated. Who the f is weaponizing government now?
You’re all in a cult. You need help if you still support this guy.
Elon? Ugh. I don’t have time or room for the foreign national who grew up in and benefited from apartheid in South Africa, who now has control of half the government. But, he’s rich, right? As Tevia said: “When you’re rich they think you really know.”
Closer to home, the Fairhaven GOP is calling our governor a tyrant because she is proposing the Community Empowerment Act, which would give local municipalities more power to raise revenue. Okay, be against taxes. But how is that tyranny when she’s giving the power to the locals? WE are the locals. Democracy? Remember?
You all need a dictionary.
