Thurs., 12/12, 3–9 p.m., Downtown New Bedford
Celebrate the holiday season with us for AHA! Night: Starry Night! There will be crafts, pictures with Santa, live music, and more at this free, family-friendly event. Here’s an early preview of what you can experience:
The Custom House building will be transformed into a giant snow globe with an awe-inspiring light show by Broken Glass Projection Mapping.
Meet Santa and take photos with jolly old Saint Nick in the DeMello International Center Upper Lobby. Then enjoy cookies and cocoa with the team from United Way.
Explore America’s historic lighthouses, as seen through the lens of photographer David Zapatka. Stop into the Whaling Museum for one of David’s three “Night Lighthouses” lectures.
Enjoy performances by the Sippican Band, Southcoast Brass Band, and Seaglass Theatre Company Carolers.
Warm up by the fire pit in Custom House Square.
Get crafty by making your own gingerbread house and handprint gnome, to name a few!
Sip and shop at the Launch! Shop local artists and artisans while enjoying a seasonally-inspired refreshment.
Make an evening of it by grabbing a bite to eat or a drink from one of our local bars and restaurants.
Explore the shops, museums, and galleries open late for AHA! Night so you can take in their exhibits or finish (or start!) your holiday shopping.
