Oh, no. It’s Columbus Day already? I love this motorcycle weather, but this is one of those years when I just did not get enough summer. A couple more warm days would be nice. No complaining, though in these parts. People south of here are being devastated by crazy storms. One of the biggest ever recorded is barrelling towards Florida as I type.
Now, I probably should know better than to argue with some people, but this conspiracy crap needs to stop. The notion that FEMA gave all its money to illegals is beyond bizarre. Will you stop listening to that guy? So you know someone who went down south and didn’t see the government guys helping. That doesn’t mean they’re doing nothing. It just means they can’t be everywhere all at once in two seconds. And these are the same people who are constantly screaming about big government.
I showed them articles from Forbes, don’t believe it; Newsweek, don’t believe it; the NC governors office, don’t believe it. But the guy who says Democrats can control the weather? HIM, they believe.
They don’t believe that humans can affect climate change, but they believe the Dems can whip up a storm of historic proportions because it’s an election year.
I…can’t….even. GAWD help us all.
Now, I do admit that humans have been trying to control the weather forever, from raindances to magic spells, to science trying to figure it all out.
But, I’m pretty sure if they had figured it out, we wouldn’t have floods and droughts.
Well, except in election years, I guess.
[heavy sigh]As my dear friend, Pam, likes to say…I’ll just go back to my cave, now.
There’s all kinds of fun stuff in here this week. The fall events are really kicking in. And the 40R hearing got continued, so we’ll catch that next time.
