In accordance with MGL c. 40A, § 11, notice is hereby given that the Fairhaven Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday September 24, 2024, at Town Hall, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive information and public comment on proposed revisions to the Town of Fairhaven Bylaws:
Amend §198-16 (Use Regulation Schedule), §198-18 (Intensity of Use Schedule), §198-27 (Parking; loading and landscaping requirements), §198-32.1 (Accessory Dwelling Units), and §198-33 (Definitions and word use) to conform to “An Act Relative to the Affordable Homes Act” (Ho. H4977, Acts 2024, Chapter 150, Approved by the Governor, August 6, 2024) and the proposed changes therein to MGL Chapter 40A Section 1A and Chapter 40A Section 3 with regard to accessory dwelling units.
Copies of the revisions are on file for public review at the Planning Board Office, Town Hall, by appointment and on the Town website.
