The Fairhaven Improvement Association is thrilled to announce that we will once again sponsor the Concerts Under the Stars at Town Hall this summer!

All concerts start at 7 p.m. in front of Town Hall, 40 Center St., Fairhaven. FREE. Weather permitting. Bring a chair/blanket.
• July 25: Mojo Kings, rock & roll, funk & soul
• Aug. 1: Truue, rock with a shot of country
• Aug. 8: G and Friends, jazz, pop, rock blues
New Bedford Summer Concerts
The City’s popular Summer Sound Series is returning for 2024, bringing a wide variety of musicians and genres to the annual series of free concerts Downtown. Every Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. through Sept. 6, with the exception of Aug. 2 due to the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament. The free concerts alternate between lower Union Street (between N. Water Street and Route 18) and Purchase Street (between Union and William streets), and feature participation from local organizations and restaurants.
• July 26: East Coast Soul (Soul/R&B) – Purchase Street
• Aug. 9: Colby James and the Ramblers (Roots/Rock) – Union Street
Sonata Saturdays
Symphonic sounds will weave their way through historic downtown New Bedford this summer with the return of Sonata Saturdays.
The fourth Saturday of each summer month, small groups of NBSO musicians will delight the neighborhood and summer visitors with a variety of classical and popular music performed at The Drawing Room, 22 William St., NB
Musicians will perform twice each day, with programs from 4-4:45 pm and repeating 5-5:45 pm.
• July 27: Timothy Macri, flute
• August 24: Laura Shamu, oboe and Maria Spraker, harp
• September 12: Sonata Saturday Encore on AHA! Night

Acushnet Summer Concerts
At Acushnet Public Library, 232 Middle Road, under our pavillion. Every Wed., from 6–7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair.
• July 31 The Dave Richardson Band will be grooving on New Orleans Funk, Texas Blues, Classic Soul, and driving Rock & Roll. Dave is joined by Jan Schmidt on vocals, Nate Goncalo on drums, and Bret Carlson on bass.
• Aug 7 The Jethros
• Aug 14 The Catnip Junkies
Concerts are held rain or shine. Join us under the pavilion, or in the community room in the event of rain. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Acushnet Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
