Public Hearing
The Acushnet Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 122 Main Street Acushnet. This hearing is on 3 different petitions for pole installations.
• Petition #MA2024-22 from Verizon New England Inc. and NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource. To place multiple jointly owned poles – 102/18.25, 102/21.5, 102/22.5, 102/26.5, 102/28.5, 102/29.5 – along Mendall Rd. The installation of these poles is at Eversource’s request, for the purpose of cable upgrade along route.
• Petition #MA2024-23 from Verizon New England Inc. and NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource. To place (5) new jointly owned poles – 102/30.5 – at 35 Mendall Rd., 102/31.5 – at 31 Mendall Rd., 102/32.5 – at 27 Mendall Rd., 102/33.5 – at 25 Mendall Rd., and 102/34.5 – across from 20 Mendall Rd. The installation of these poles is at Eversource’s request, for the purpose of cable upgrade along route.
• Petition #MA2024-25 from Verizon New England Inc. and NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource. To place (5) jointly owned poles – 139/1.5 – at 634 Main St., 139/2.5 – at 27 Perry Hill Rd., 139/3.5 – at 35 Perry Hill Rd., 139/4.5 – at 53 Perry Hill Rd., 139/5.5 – at 53 Perry Hill Rd. Eversource requests Verizon install 5 new midspans along Perry Hill Rd.
