Hetty Lecture was Huge Success
I am writing to commend the Fairhaven Historical Society on their latest endeavor. On Thursday, April 4th, the Society hosted a lecture given by Charles Slack on the infamous Witch of Wall Street, Hetty Green.*
This lecture was a huge success evidenced by the number of people who attended (over 300!) and the delivery of the lecture.
Mr. Slack was engaging, well spoken, and clearly an authority on the subject. His 40-minute talk provided insights into Hetty that were revelatory to many in the audience. If this event is an indication of future endeavors to be undertaken by the Society, I look forward to them with anticipation!
