Pacheco is Caring, Reliable
Support Nicole Pacheco in Continuing the Work She has Started
I would like to offer my support for Nicole Pacheco for the School Committee. I first met Nicole when our daughters were classmates in kindergarten at Wood School. They were fast friends, and we became so as well.
Nicole is caring, reliable, and perfectly fit for the school committee. I wasn’t surprised to learn she won the appointment against four other candidates via Zoom while on a cruise ship. Nicole always finds a way to be where she’s needed, no matter the circumstances. She seamlessly juggles three children in various activities, sits on the board of a local nonprofit for children, and is part of the planning committees for year-end activities at her children’s schools.
Nicole was raised in Fairhaven and has spent most of her adult life here as well, but despite being a local, she is an independent thinker with no allegiances that would impair her continuing to be a thoughtful school committee member. She always looks at issues through the lens of how they will affect our students and I can’t imagine someone who would work more passionately for the well-being of every student in Fairhaven.
In her few short months on the school committee, she joined Planning for Success, Massachusetts’s Recommended Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement Process, and has completed all required training through the Massachusetts Associations for School Committees and has participated in several online workshops in order to grow her knowledge of how she can best support our students. It would be an understatement to say that she is committed.
Nicole is the kind of friend you keep on your emergency contact list for your children’s schools, and you can count on her to send you pictures from school events if you can’t make it. At any given time, you can find her home full of children — friends of her daughters, neighbors, and family. She welcomes all, and these relationships help her keep a pulse on the issues our students face and what they need to grow into successful and well-adjusted adults. She is genuine and caring, and it would be advantageous for our town to have her continue her service.
