Romano is Smart, Business Minded
My name is Amy Goyer. I live on Hedge Street with my son, who attends Hastings Middle School. I am writing this letter in support of Andrew Romano’s candidacy for Fairhaven Select Board. I have known Andrew since my son was a toddler and Andrew was a student at Fairhaven High School. We met when I started getting my morning Diet Coke at Burger King. Andrew worked at the drive-through window and he was so smart, personable, and funny that we struck up a friendship.
I remember taking my son to Dunks one afternoon and seeing Andrew working there. I asked him if he had switched jobs and he informed me that he hadn’t — he decided to pick up a second job — all while attending high school full-time (including a concentration in media).
Andrew eventually became a real estate agent, married his husband, Myles, and started volunteering his time and expertise to the town.
When I decided to buy a new house in Fairhaven, I asked Andrew to work with me through the process. I could not have been more pleased with my choice. I ultimately found a wonderful house and put in an offer. The actual purchase took almost three months to process, due to probate and paperwork issues. The entire time, Andrew worked on my behalf to make the sale happen. He was there every step of the way, even down to calling to check on me and how I was doing (every day).
I found him to be smart, empathetic, and business minded. This is the combination I needed and now, I think this is the combination Fairhaven needs.
Andrew has impressed me at every turn. He is absolutely dedicated to the betterment of this town. He is business forward, with a keen eye for detail, and the willingness to put in the time necessary to get a job done.
I trust him completely to work doggedly to move Fairhaven into the future, while protecting the history and character of the town.
This is such a great place to live. Andrew will work tirelessly to keep it that way. I strongly endorse him for a seat on the Select Board.
