Let the games begin! Local election season is officially upon us.
See page 12 for candidate statements from the five candidates running for Select Board in Fairhaven. For the next three weeks we will have more statements from different races.
We also have lots of letters from our readers, most of them about the election. See page 4 for that.
And, we have preliminary numbers for the Primary Election on page 22. No surprises there.
The causeway sidewalk is falling apart. I’m sorry I don’t have enough room to put a few more pictures in, but trust me, that baby needs some help. See page 3 for a short…very short story. This came in last minute, so details are rather sparse. We’ll be running a follow-up, though as soon as the town gets an update from the engineer.
We did manage to squeeze in a little meeting coverage. See page 3 for BPW, which instituted a trash fee in a split vote.
There’s other stuff in here, of course, including lots of happenings, like Hansel & Gretel in our own town hall this weekend (see page 20).
Things are definitely picking up with the turn of the season. See a bunch of happenings on pages 20, 21, 22.
