Discover how animals prepare for winter on a guided family walk during “Saturday at The Sawmill” (32 Mill Rd., Acushnet) with the Buzzards Bay Coalition on Sat., 1/14 at 11 a.m.
During the walk, kids and families will answer questions and learn fun facts about the winter wildlife that lives along the Acushnet River. Families with children of all ages are welcome on this free walk. Please dress warmly and be prepared to walk on a trail for approximately a half-mile.
During Saturdays at The Sawmill, held once a month, the Hawes Family Learning Center will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time, all visitors to The Sawmill can explore the learning center and speak with Coalition educators about the park and its restoration.
