Wow, how did that happen? Veterans Day is this Saturday. Fairhaven and New Bedford will hold itheir annual parades, and there are some other events throughout the weekend. See page 3 for that. Make it a point to get out there for a parade and show your support for our veterans. Line the route and let them know you appreciate their service.
Acushnet had its fall Town Meeting this week (see page 13). Now, that was fun! No, really, it was. I wish I had the space to get in all the colorful remarks. There were plenty of ’em. Watch it if you can. Break out the popcorn, a cold drink, and relax.
Fairhaven’s special Town Meeting is next week. See page 4 for an overview of what articles they will face.
Fairhaven had Select Board meeting too, and welcomed a new police officer. See page 14 for that.
And, let’s not forget young Jake Gallagher graduating from the call/volunteer firefighter academy. Proud dad Kevin Gallagher made sure we had a photo to share. See page 19 for that.
And all the holiday stuff is ramping up. See pages 5, 6, 7 for listings on holiday fairs, fund-raisers, and all things Christmas.
And, let’s not forget the Lebanese Christmas bazaar, with all that great Lebanese food. See page 7 or the ad on the back cover for that. We are at our new parish home on Acushnet Avenue. Go check it out.
There are other fun things in here, of course. Thumb through to find it all. And while you’re doing that, be sure to note who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then, see ya
