Our free Dock-u-mentary series has returned! Hosted in partnership with New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, Dock-u-mentaries are hosted every third Friday at 7:00pm at the National Park auditorium at 33 William Street through March. They feature a wide-range of documentaries and films, with the majority focusing on commercial fishing and the working waterfront. On November 17, we will be screening the Nigerian fantasy film, Mami Wata, a critically acclaimed film that was featured at the Sundance Film Festival and explores the relationship between people and water. Mami Wata is a special tie-in with our exhibit, Sea Monsters: Real and Imagined.
