NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
The Town will hold a Public Meeting on January 12, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting will be to take public input on the development of a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. This new plan is essential to the Town’s efforts to improve emergency preparedness and identify ways to reduce or eliminate the impacts of natural hazards such as hurricanes, floods, and severe winter storms. This is the first meeting of an 8 month planning process. This meeting will be an overview of the entire planning process, followed by time for questions and general discussion. All members of the community are encouraged to attend and bring their local knowledge, concerns, and ideas to help Fairhaven become safer from natural hazards.
