The Apple-Peach Festival in Acushnet is zaback in full swing. The parade is back, after a pandemic related hiatus, and the pageant also returned for the first time since 2019.
Kelsey Peters and Kailey Peters made history as the first siblings to win Miss Apple Peach (Kelsey) and Junior Miss Apple Peach (Kailey).
Tori Kalisz was finally able to pass the baton after serving since 2019.
The festival has been held for more than 40 years and heralds the end of the summer and the beginning of the harvest.
Hundreds of people packed the grounds at the Long Plain Museum on Main Street to enjoy food, music, and a variety of vendors selling hand crafted items and other fun stuff.
The parade, organized by Andrew Cioper and the Acushnet Lions Club featured floats, tractors, trucks, and the pageant winners riding in convertibles (of course).
The event is held every year on the weekend after Labor Day.
