Feast of Our Lady of Angels, September 2, 3, 4, Our Lady of Angels Feast Grounds, 7 Jesse St., Fairhaven.
Sat. 5 p.m.-Midnight, Sun. Noon – Mid., Mon. Noon – 10 p.m. Procession on Main St. Monday at 1 p.m. followed by auction.
A traditional Portuguese “festa” with live music, game booths, Portuguese & American foods, auctions, kids’ activities.

Entrance to the grounds is free. You must purchase tickets for food and beverages. Portuguese and American food will be available for purchase all three days.
Saturday, 9/2
• Grounds open at 5 p.m. Opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. followed by concert by Banda Santa Cecilia of Fall River.
• 8 p.m.–midnight, music by 7-day Weekend
Sunday, 9/3
• Grounds open noon to midnight
• 2–6 p.m., Adikted
• 8–midnight, Hardwire
Monday, 9/4
• Grounds open until 10 p.m.
• Feast mass at 10 a.m., St. Mary’s Church, Main Street (across from feast grounds). Mass celebrant Ret. Monsignor Oliveira of the Fall River Diocese.
• 1 p.m.: Procession down Main Street from St. Mary’s to Benoit Square and back.
• Auction after procession.
• 6–10 p.m. Red Handed
March with the Lagoa Committee
The Lagoa Friendship Pact Committee wishes to honor the Portuguese immigrants of long ago who settled in the Fairhaven area bringing their culture and traditions from the region of Lagoa, Island of St. Michael, Azores.
Therefore, the Committee will take part in the Our Lady of Angels procession, which steps off at 1:00 PM on Labor Day Monday, September 4, and wishes to invite everyone whose ancestors derive not only from Lagoa, but also from the Island of St. Michael to join the group. The invitation is extended to anyone in the greater New Bedford area.
The tradition of the Feast of Our Lady of Angels was one of the above-referenced traditions brought to Fairhaven by said immigrants from the town of Lagoa. Everyone wishing to attend, please look for the green banner identifying the Lagoa Committee before procession time at St. Mary’s Church, Main Street, Fairhaven (across the street from the feast grounds), before the 1 p.m. step-off time.
