The little restaurant at 16 Main Street in Fairhaven is filled up with yummy goodies once again.
“Mey Breakfast” opened up last week in the former Margaret’s location on the corner of Main and Ferry Streets.
Mey Tex has the experience of running “The Rise Cafe” in Somerset, and decided to branch out and open an additional location.
At Mey Breakfast, the goodies are homemade and fresh every single day: muffins, bagels, donuts…lots and lots of different kinds of donuts.
“We make everything right here,” said Ms. Tex.
The restaurant offers specialty coffees, from regular to iced lattes, lots of different teas, and even hot chocolate.
Breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, with chips and pickles or French Fries, are offered on a variety of breads.
Her place is special, she said, because of “everything. It’s all special here.”
Ms. Tex said she came to the US from Cambodia, and lived in Minnesota and South Dakota. Massachusetts, she said has been a better choice for her and her family members, who also work in the restaurant. They all like fishing and camping.
“Here, we have everything,” said Ms. Tex.
The location near the bike path has also helped with foot traffic. The place was very busy all last week.
Mey Breakfast is open every day from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can find them on Facebook.
