Boston Pride is back

June 14, 2023 by Staff Writer

Boston Pride was back this year holding a week long schedule of events, including the Pride Parade marching through the streets of Boston, two festival areas, one for 21+, and one for familes. Venues included Boston Common and City Hall plaza.

The annual pride parade for LGBTQ+ people did not happen last year because of disagreements among organizers about who to include and the emphasis on corporations. Boston Pride for the People promised a more inclusive event this year and a more grassroots influence. An estimated one million people attended the days events on 6/10/23, and more than 10,000 marched in the parade. Visit https://www.bostonprideforthepeople.org to learn more.
