Are you a book lover looking for a fun way to connect with like-minded individuals?
Look no further than the Thursday Morning Book Club that has been meeting since September 1997 at the Millicent Library and welcomes new members any time.
Started by librarian Mary Jane Richard, the Thursday Morning Book Club has been a staple in the community for over 25 years. We meet on the third Thursday every month to discuss a selected book. The Thursday Morning Book Club is all about connecting with book lovers, discussing literature, and having a good time.
Now meeting year-round, including the summer months, you can join us any time. Meetings are held in the auditorium at the Millicent Library and provide a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Even if you are not a big reader, you are still welcome to join us for our fun gatherings.
“I believe that book clubs should be a fun gathering place for like-minded book lovers. I also know that life has a way of interrupting our routines, and it is OK to show up even if one wasn’t able to finish (or start!) the book of the month. It happens!” said Thursday Morning Book Club chair Diana Edwards.
Ready to join our book club? Feel free to come to our next meeting or contact Diana Edwards at dedwardsva@gmail.com or 802-238-5228 for more information.
When and where?
The Thursday Morning Book Club meets on the third Thursday of the month year-round at 10:00 AM in the auditorium of the Millicent Library, 45 Center Street, Fairhaven.
