Hello Fairhaven Community,
My name is Justine Frezza and it is nice to meet you all! For those of you that I have not met, I sincerely look forward to working with you in the future as I announce my candidacy for the Fairhaven Board of Health 2023.
I would love to share a little about me. I grew up in Fairhaven, and in the last 5 years I have moved back. I am excited to be back in the community I grew up in. I have been in the Medical Field for the last 18 years in many different roles.
Currently, I work in the Mental Health field, and in my current role I am responsible for leadership, direction and managing daily operations of several mental health practices. Some of my other duties include planning and implementation of all practices to ensure an efficient, coordinated approach to customer service excellence and provider satisfaction.
Deciding to run for the board of health was something I never thought I would do, but the community is changing drastically and after long discussions with my family I decided to run this year.
Many things were a part of my decision to run, but there were two that were my deciding factor. I am passionate about being a bigger part of the community and to be able to bring my experience and knowledge that is different from other members on the board.
I also think it is important that I be a voice for our community and help get those that do not feel heard to have a voice, too. This is an amazing opportunity for growth, and I look forward to getting to know the community and listening to what concerns you have and what we can do as a team to make some progress!
Another part that played a big role in my decision is the mental health crisis. Over the last several years I have lost many people to mental health issues, and it breaks my heart not seeing the resources out there for people to get help. I know I am not the only one who sees the struggles of our family, friends and loved ones. I want to be a part of changing that for all of us and look to see what we can do as a community to have resources for the people that are struggling.
I truly look forward to it being a possibility to serve all of you, for the next term. I look forward to learning and growing with you and the community as we move toward a better and brighter future!

Fairhven Housing Authority Candidate
Hello Fairhaven folks my name is Carol Alfonso. I serve on the board at the Fairhaven Housing Authority.
Though I am running unopposed, I will continue to work diligently with the rest of the board members to keep the housing authority in good standing.
I am also certified with the Mass NAHRO board member program (National Association of Housing Redevelopment Officials), in addition to DHCD (Department of Housing and Community Development).
I will continue my duties to work on creating and updating policies, approve contracts, budgets, capital improvement plans as well as annual plans. Above all, doing what is best for our residents here and keeping them safe.
Please vote on Monday, April 3rd.
