In 1964, a team of Westport Little League All-Stars came together and did something that Westport Little Leaguers had not done before, or since. Through grit, determination, and of course a bit of luck, these mostly 12 year olds became Massachusetts Little League State Champions. The team included Carl Zajac, Jim Ford, Karl Kozak, John White, Norman Tremblay, Bob Wood, John Sousa, Billy Jalbert, David Azevedo, Manny Cabral, Steve Pettey, Bruce “Pee Wee” Letourneau, Paul Eastwood, Joe Correiro and Ronnie Briere. Join Al Lees to hear the story from those who were there, the Boys of Summer from that team.
