It rained on their parade, but the North Fairhaven Improvement Association and its group of Halloween Horribles did not let that stop them from having a great time on Sunday at the annual Halloween Horribles Parade in North Fairhaven.
The parade portion of the program was mostly dry, but just as the group reached the parking lot at St. Mary’s Church, the drizzle got a little steadier. Some people slipped out, no doubt to save their costumes, but most of the hardy souls stayed for the judging, getting pretty wet by the end of it.
Prizes were awarded for Most Beautiful, Most Original and Most Horrible in five age groups from toddler to adult.
Participants were treated to free hot chocolate, free prizes, and free pumpkins.
The Boy Scouts collected non-perishable foods for the food pantry.
The event is sponsored by the North Fairhaven Improvement Association and is made possible by the donations of individuals and businesses.
