Nearly 100 people joined George H Taber lodge in Fairhaven on 10/15/22 to celebrate its 150th Anniversary.
The evening began with a tour of the lodge, followed by a meet and greet with the Grand Lodge officers and their spoues.
Appetizers and punch were provided by Cyd’s Kitchen, followed by dinner catered by Riccardi’s. Author, Worshipful James Cochran, presented a history of the lodge, and world renowned mentalist Brother Jon Stetson provided entertainment.
Several speakers addressed the attendees, includling Fairhaven Select Boar Vice Chair Leon Correy.
The Masonic Lodge Building, on the corner of Center and Main Streets was built by Henry Huttleston Rogers and given to the lodge in 1901. Originally named Concordia Lodge, the group changed its name to honor Fairhaven and Massachusetts’ oldest living freemason, who was related by marriage to HHR.
