Oh…the big day is almost here. Monday is Halloween, but most houses will be decorated for the weekend. I, alas, have not even pulled the stuff out of the attic.
If you missed last week’s Halloween Trail issue, do not fret, it’s available on our website: www.neighbnews.com
And see page 3 for a bunch of fun Halloween stuff this weekend, including the Horribles Parade, the Acushnet Halloween parade, the annual haunted town hall, and a new one: the Fairhaven Firefighters trunk or treat.
Daylight Saving Time hasn’t ended yet, so that should make it easier for the younger kids who get out early. They won’t be completely in the dark. DST ends on 11/6, but..guess what? It’s the LAST time it will end (Well, unless they change it again). Next year at this time, we’ll just be letting the sun do its thing without any help from us.
But, one step at a time.
We had a bunch of community stuff this week.
The encampment was this weekend, a one-day affair, but still fun. See page 12 for that.
The household hazardous waste date was also on Saturday (see page 13), and lots of people got rid of lots of stuff.
Ten couples who have been married for more than 50 years were recognized by St. Joseph Church a couple of weeks ago. Go to page 18 to see if you recognize anyone.
There’s other stuff in here, of course, so look through each page. And be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News. And remember, we also need reader support. So feel free to donate if you like this little free sheet.
Until next week then…see ya,
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
