Trunk or Treat

You are invited to Fairhaven’s Haunted Animal Shelter, Sat. 10/29, 6–9 p.m., 200 Bridge St., Fairhaven. Candy, donuts, coffee and hot chocolate. Costumes welcome, ghouls tolerated. NFIA Halloween Horribles Parade
MUSIC by Fairhaven Frets to warm you up before you parade down Main Street, 4–5 p.m. Step off is at 5, on Sun., 10/30. Starts at Benoit Square, 267 Adams St., Fairhaven. Halloween costume parade marches from Benoit Square to St. Mary’s Church, where costume judging takes place. Free treats.
Acushnet Halloween Parade
Join us on Monday, October 31st beginning at 6pm for the annual Halloween Parade. Please meet in front of the fire station on Russell Street in Acushnet at Parting Ways.
The Fire Department will be distributing candy bags and apples outside the fire station.
Halloween Party for Seniors
Join the Acushnet Council on Aging for our Halloween Party on Mon., 10/31, starting with lunch at 12:15 (D&D catering, please call for finalized menu). Musical entertainment at 1 p.m. featuring Dan McGowan. Costumes encouraged!

Halloween at the Z
The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, 684 Purchase St., New Bedford, presents “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” on Sun., 10/30 at 1:30 p.m. Silent movie with live soundtrack on the Z’s Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. $10 general admission. Halloween Parade
The volunteer witches of the Marion Art Center have been brewing up plans for resuming our annual Halloween Parade around the town on Monday, October 31. Costumed characters of all ages are invited to join in for this fun family event! Participants should meet in front of the Marion Music Hall, 164 Front St. (we’ll line up on Cottage Street) at 4:00pm. Under the direction of Hannah Moore, the Sippican Elementary School drummers will lead the parade of witches and princesses, goblins and ghouls, wild animals, and spooky spirits. The parade route will head south on Front Street, up Main Street, north onto Spring Street and back down Cottage to the Music Hall. Once back at the Music Hall, the good witches of the MMAC will hand out surprise goody bags. Come one, come all!
Halloween at the Handy House is Back!
Dr. Handy and the Light in the Forest. Young visitors will enjoy the Halloween-themed quest, locating a ghostly lady and her children in the forest. Read the story, walk the trail and solve the mystery! Friendly ghosts will keep an eye on all visitors. The trail offers children and their families a chance to enjoy the season with a little spookiness and a lot of fun.
The Halloween trail is open dawn to dusk, seven days a week for the month of October. The trail is 0.7 miles, entrance is off the Handy House visitor parking lot at 202 Hix Bridge Road, Westport. FREE!
