Ooohh…it’s that time of year!
Halloween is just around the corner, and we have 15 fabulously spooky hounted yards for you to look check out (see page 12). We also have a bunch of other Halloween events you can join, and lots of them involve treats (see page 6).
Most of the houses on the trail are up and running (okay, all of them except mine). Hopefully all of them (ahem) will be ready by the big day.
This Saturday you can also go to the encampment at Fort Phoenix. It’s only one day, so be sure to get there (see page 3). There’ll be muskets and cooking on the fire and other demonstrations of 18th military life. No cannon shots this time.
Also on Saturday is hazardous waste day for Fairhaven residents (see page 3). This is your chance to get rid of any old oil, oil-based paints, toxic chemicals in the shed that you can’t even name.
Acushnet held its special Town Meeting this week (see page 16). They passed it all, and got it all done in about an hour and a half.
Early voting starts this weekend, so lots of extra chances to get your vote it. See page 4 for details.
We have other stuff in here, of course, including letters from our readers (page 22), more happenings, and… well, see for yourself.
And, while you’re looking, be sure to notice who our advertisers are so you can tell them you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
Until next week then…see ya,
YAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
