Letter_Paul Schmid has served well

October 5, 2022 by Staff Writer

Paul Schmid Has Served Community Well

We support Paul Schmid for reelection as our State Representative for the 8th Bristol District.

Paul has served this community well. He has been effective in achieving funding for major projects such as the new schools in Westport and Fall River, repaving Route 88, cleaning up South Watuppa Pond, air conditioning the Macomber School and updating our town dock.

In addition, he strongly supports local projects. We can always depend on his attendance at veterans’ events, historical and environmental events, and his support of individuals’ activities in his district.

Paul’s experience is broad: a Harvard graduate, service in the Marine Corps, small business operator and long-time farmer. He served on Westport’s select board and was chair of the finance committee. He combines all of these talents with his compassion for people and passion to do a good job.

We are very fortunate he is our representative.

David Cole and Betty Slade, Westport
