It’s almost heeeerre….. My favorite holiday (yes, I know it’s not a real holiday.) It’s Halloween time for Halloweentown!
See pages 12, 13 & 18 for all stops on our Halloween Trail and a few other Halloween events…scary stuff.
Okay, confession time: I was supposed to write the Selectboard meeting. I was there, honest. I wrote all kinds of notes, really. I even ran to my car to get another notebook.
But then, well, the debate is tonight, and well (insert whiny voice here), I wouldn’t have been done in time to watch it and make my popcorn and pour wine and all that…..
Hmm…I think I just said my wine and popcorn are more important than getting the news to my readers.
Um…er….I didn’t mean it like that honest.
But, while we’re on the subject of this despicable race (that I am enjoying more than should be legal, by the way), I have made a change to the front cover of the paper. Did you notice?
With all this disheartening talk about jailing opponents, delegitimizing election results, delegitimizing every single institution that makes this country the great country that it is, including the press, I have put the entire text of the First Amendment on the cover.
And there it will stay.
I swear, some people don’t even know what this country is supposed to be about.
Being Halloween time also means the weather is changing (well, not this week, but it will soon, I’m sure). And that means Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and the holiday bazaars, and all the other overindulgence associated with the holiday season.
So, take a minute (and a few dollars) to support the local food pantry.
Happy browsing, Everyone, and, please, note who our advertisers are and tell them saw their ads here.
Okay, until next week then… See ya,
