Early voting by mail has already begun in Massachusetts. Early in person voting begins on Saturday.
Voters can go in person in their respective communities to vote in person. Each community has slightly different hours, and locations are not the regular polling places.
The primary is on Tuesday, 9/6, and polls will be open from 7 a.m.– 8 p.m. statewide.

Acushnet
Earlyi in person voting in Acusnet is available to registered voters beginning on Saturday, 8/27, at the Town Clerk’s office in the Parting Ways Building, 130 Main Street.
Hours are Saturday, 8/27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday–Friday, 8/29–9/2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Tuesday, 8/30 from 8:30–7 p.m.
Last day to register to vote and for any changes in voter registration, such as party affiliation, address, etc., is Saturday, 8/27.

Fairhaven
One week of In-Person Early Voting for all six Fairhaven precincts for the September 6, 2022 Primary will be held in the Fairhaven Town Hall Auditorium on Saturday, August 27, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; and Monday, August 29th through Friday, September 2nd, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (regular business hours)
The last date/time to register to vote for the State Primary is Saturday, August 27th at 5:00pm.
On the day of the State Primary, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, all polls will be open from 7 a.m.–8 p.m.
ALL SIX Precincts will be located at the Fairhaven Recreation Center, 227 Huttleston Avenue.

New Bedford
The City’s Board of Election Commissioners has announced the early voting schedule and registration deadline for the state’s primary election on September 6.
Early voting for the state primary will take place from Saturday, Aug. 27, through Friday, Sept. 2. In-person early voting will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on the third floor of the Main Public Library, at 613 Pleasant St. downtown.
On Primary Election day, polls citywide will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The voter registration deadline is 5 p.m. Saturday, August 27, in the City’s Election Commission Office, Room 114, City Hall, 133 William St. If you have a Massachusetts driver’s license or state ID card, you can register to vote, update your address, and check your registration information online at: www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/
The voter registration deadline is also the deadline for voters to notify the Board of Elections of any changes in their address, name, or party affiliation.
Any New Bedford resident who is uncertain about their voting status or designated polling location; has changed their address since the last election; or has questions about mail-in, absentee, or early voting can call the Board of Election Commissioners at (508) 979-1420.
