Acushnet has officially named their new K9 “Sunny.” The Standard Poodle puppy has already begun her training and is making the rounds of town officials to get used to her new gig.
According to the Acushnet PD Facebook page, Sunny had her first puppy training class this week.
“She learned how to sit, lay down, and heel,” they posted.
Sunny also had orientation at the police department on 7/21.
“She began to learn how to dispatch, add paper to the copier, and distribute mail,” they wrote, and provided photos to back up their claim.
Sunny also visited with Acushnet School Superintendent Dr. Paula Bailey, but alas, the little pooch fell asleep during teh meeting portion of the program (smart dog).
“Dr. Bailey said our Wildcats are going to LOVE her,” Acushnet Schools posted on their FB page. “During a meeting she fell asleep.”
