Why Vote for Bob McConnell
Start with his motivation and his incentive. He could have slipped into a comfortable and most likely well-financed retirement. He has chosen not to do this. I believe his love for his country and his concern for his children and his grandchildren provided this motivation and incentive to run for public office.
I have know Bob for three years. Not once have I heard him talk about his involvement in charitable deeds, his involvement in public service speaks volumes about his character.
How any clear thinking, concerned citizen particularly parents can for for Democratic candidates who support the policies and legislation of the Democratic party, I find hard to believe. On the federal level, under president Biden’s presidency, we have record high inflation, gas prices, infant formula shortages, you name it. It’s been chaotic. Our respect is at its lowest level since President Jimmy Carter.
The war between Ukraine and Russia most likely brought about by his weak and feckless foreign policy. His debacle in Afghanistan, most likely encoruaged Putin to invade Ukgraine.
Crime is at an all time high in major cities under Democratic control. District attorneys are releasing violent repeat criminals back into society to be criminals again.
A wide-open border with Mexico drugs and fentanyl pouring in, fentanyl deaths at an all time high.
Supreme court judges subject to threats and intimidation in their homes, merely because of their opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade decision, which does nothing to ban abortion but turns it over to the states.
Now how does this affect our local state representative election? Straus has helped out in some local situations but this is over ridden by the fact that he is a career politician who will vote straight Democratic and thereby support their big spending big government policies. Voting for Bob McConnell will help break up this one-party rule and give a voice to the concerned and patriotic citizens of our pour district.
